Vintage Children's Items

This week my search for vintage favorites on Etsy was for children's items. Being a grandmother of a little 7 month old girl and expecting another grandchild inspired me to look and see what was out there for children. I was impressed with these vintage items in wonderful condition!

Fall Finds

Whenever Summer comes to a close, I have a hard time facing reality that Fall is here and Winter won't be far behind. What helps me come to terms with it, is finding warm, cozy items that help me make the transition. Fingerless gloves are definitely one of those items! I got my first pair last winter and now they're essential for me! Here are a couple other items that I am really loving and wishing after for this cooler season.

Snowy White Vintage Favorites

This week brought for us a couple days of snowfall! Yes we actually woke up to the ground being white one morning and a couple days where there where times it looked like a blizzard with huge flakes of snow coming down.Snow can be so beautiful.

With thoughts of doing the blog post this weekend I found some wonderful things in white. Here are some of my vintage white favorites.

I hope that you enjoyed my picks!
Have a great weekend.

Shopping Local

With online shopping nowadays... "shopping local" can take on a whole new meaning. It's very easy to find great online sellers, who are just around the corner from you. Etsy, and all the other online marketplaces, have a way of bringing people together. Personally, I love that I can buy beautiful, unique items... directly from an individual, who is trying to work from home or just trying to make some extra cash on the side... instead of from a big corporation.

Here are a few great local shops in my area that I've come across that I'd love to share with you...

Takin' a Break

We're taking a day off from posting this week... the weather is so lovely these days, unusually warm for our corner of the world at the end of September. Also, being in the thick of canning season and trying to wrap up the last of yard work/projects before winter hits... there's never a shortage of things to keep us busy!

And... it's my birthday today... so once I get all those projects done, it's time for some relaxing!

Have a great weekend,

A Canadian Thanksgiving Table

Fall is rolling around and with it, here in Canada we look forward to our Canadian Thanksgiving in three weeks at the beginning of October. I can't wait for the turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pies!

I came across these wonderful serving items that I would like to use for serving a thanksgiving or harvest meal.
