Featured... again!

Wow... I've been fortunate to have items from my shop featured three times in this last week! I love looking at different treasuries on Etsy that people put together. It's interesting to see the different combinations that people come up with... and how my items fit in.

MK4designs created this lovely treasury featuring my vintage Dove Grey Ladies Hat.

lunahoo created this tangerine treasury featuring my Vintage Tangerine MELMAC Pitcher.

And wiseoldowl created this fresh treasury featuring my Vintage Tan Leather WEDGE Sandals 8 9.

Once again, it's been awhile since our last post... wow, the start of Spring has been busy and I've been swamped taking care of my new little one. I love Spring... everything's growing and turning green again... putting in the garden... plants/trees blooming.

Here are a few vintage things that remind me of Spring:

Sorry for the lack of posts lately... we have been distracted by the beautiful warm Spring weather and also, the last three weeks have flown by in a blur for me, due to the birth of my son on April 6th.

Suzanne, of threepeats, was kind enough to include my Vintage Dove GREY Ladies HAT on her blog recently: I'm always thrilled when someone includes an item from my shop in a treasury or features it on their blog. :)

There are many great vintage Easter items that I've stumbled across lately... everything from a lovely Easter outfit for a little girl -- to vintage wind-up toys -- to a cast iron bunny. Anything you need to get you in the "Easter spirit". Here are a couple of my favourites that I came across this week... enjoy!

And from our own shops...

Hope you all have a lovely Easter, spending time with friends and family!

susantique was lovely enough to feature my Pale BLUE GREY Vintage Leather HEELS Pumps 10 in her "Spring's Early Light" treasury she put together in Treasury West on Etsy. It is a beautiful collection of pale blue/grey and amber colors.

P.S. Make sure to check out susantique's great vintage shop on Etsy, which is full of all sorts of treasures!

Thinkin' Spring

As we are at the end of our winter season I am thinkin' spring! I can't help but dream of the gardens and the flowers that I love to see in bloom. Spring is around the corner...I hope.
Here are some wonderful items I found that remind me of spring.

This post is a bit belated... it was to be posted for Valentine's Day, however the weekend slipped away on me... I hope you all had a lovely weekend with your special valentine!

Red is one of my favorite colors... especially for vintage items! Here are a couple lovely red vintage items I've recently come across.

Have a great week!

Vintage Kitchen Linens

I just love vintage tea/dish towels. It reminds me of my grandmother and the hand embroidery she did. She did not do a lot of different hand work, but there was seldom a time when she did not have a hand embroidery project in the works for someone. I remember her teaching me when I was in my young teens. I stitched a beautiful set of pillow cases with a row of lilacs across the end.

Here is a perfect set of towels I came across in our local thrift store. They are beautifully stitched on vintage cotton. Each day of the week the woman has a different project on these towels.

Monday she is doing laundry.
Tuesday she is weeding in the garden.
Wednesday she is watering her flower garden.
Thursday looks like she might be going visiting with a basket.
Friday she is picking flowers in the garden.
Saturday she is doing baking.
Sunday she is looking her best in a beautiful dress and parasol.

Now all I have to do is decide if I want to add these to my stash or put them up in my Etsy shop.

Here are some other wonderful vintage kitchen linens for sale in our shops.

I hope this has inspired you to consider shopping for or possibly pulling out your vintage linens to use in your kitchen today!

Have a great weekend.

Vintage Buttons

I'm not sure when my love of vintage buttons started... maybe it was at my great-grandmother's house. Her basement had a button curtain and endless jars of buttons. I store my button collection in vintage jars.

Here are some great little vintage buttons I found on Etsy while having my morning coffee...
