Taking My Etsy Photography Outside - New Items to be Listed

I have been struggling with finding a good spot for shooting my Etsy photos. I am not sure if other Etsy sellers take as many pictures as I do. I think part of the problem is that my home has warm colors and is not well lit. This last week the sun was shinning so nicely that I decided to take my photo shoot outside. I was quite impressed with the shots.

What are your thoughts on these photos of my new items to list?

Does the outdoor scenery take away from the item?

Do any of you struggle to get good lighting?

Any good tips?

If anyone is interested in these items convo me and I will rush to list or reserve for you!

Did anyone see that we have hit 100 FOLLOWS? We are so excited and thank you all for coming back repeatedly to visit us!

Thanks again.

My Mother's Day Favorites

I think Mother's Day is a great time to be thinking of some of the things I love. One of my passions is vintage as you all know. Here are some of vintage treasures I found in Etsy shops this week.

Collections: Part 2

Mugs....

Okay, so I have a few coffee mugs... well, maybe a few more than just a few. I don't really want to count them because I would probably realize I had far too many, but I know I have more than 30... probably closer to 40. Many I use, some I don't. But I love mugs. My favorite mugs are the small, stackable kind that were made in Japan. Hardly sensible, since I love a BIG cup of coffee.

{ This is a set of four stackable butterfly mugs, marked Made in Japan. I *LOVE* these and I don't think I'll ever part with them! }

{ These two are the same size and style as the butterfly mugs, also Made in Japan. Blue and green design with flowers and birds. }

{ These two are simple and super cute. Made in Japan. Plain white with a very retro orange and red flower design, these are classic. }

{ This one I found all on its own... it's a keeper though! Made in Japan. With a blue faux bois background, coffee break lettering on the front side, and mod flower design on the other side... it is one of a kind. }

{ My Mom's mugs are also made in Japan. They are newly listed in her shop Lucky's Vintage. }

Enjoy!

Things to help you beat the Winter Blahs

Nothing like a Canadian winter and the after Christmas and New Year's blues to make me want to indulge myself in self-gratification.
Here are some things I would love for myself.
Heart of Wool has these awesome fingerless gloves made from repurposed sweaters. These are not really vintage, but could be made from vintage sweaters.

What about these floral pillowcases from Lucky's Vintage shop. Nothing like some cheery flowers on my pillow to brighten my bedroom on a cold winter day.

Here is a warm winter vintage coat from curiouskitty. Just the right thing to bundle up in to go out.

Here is a wonderful set of mugs from Jesse James Jake for that warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate.

These are a few things that would brighten my winter day. I hope that you love them too.
