There is just something about the ticking of a wind up alarm clock that brings me back to my Grandma's house in my younger years.My parents would put us down to have a nap in Grandma and Grandpa's room. Being a hyperactive child, I did not do naps. The only comforting sounds was the tick tock of the clock on the bedside table as the other children napped.

These are my four vintage alarm clocks. The large silver one is battery-operated. The other three are all wind-up (though I rarely wind them, since the sound drives me crazy!). They are great through when decorating, to add character to a room.
